Alaska Addiction Rehabilitation Services (AARS) is a residential treatment center offering 24/7, clinically-controlled care. Its client-centered program incorporates 12-Step philosophies and helps individuals pursue their own personal spiritual journey. Treatment includes counseling, group therapy, recreational therapy, and work therapy in a supportive environment. Healthy meals, crafted by a licensed nutritionist and tailored to each client’s dietary needs are provided three times a day, and snacks such as fresh fruits and vegetables are available throughout the day. Aftercare is available in the form of transitional housing for graduates of the residential program. These gender-specific accommodations offer shared bedrooms for clients to further their recovery in a comfortable setting.
