Embark at Scottsdale specializes in treating adolescents and young adults with addiction, behavioral, and mental health issues. Through evidence-based and holistic treatment methods, they create personalized plans to meet the individual needs of the patients and their families. Their therapies include dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), attachment theory, experiential therapies, and SMART Recovery. These treatments are used to address issues such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), borderline personality disorder (BPD), bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), trauma, addiction, social isolation, bullying, gaming or internet addictions, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), reactive attachment disorder (RAD), and self-harm or suicidal ideation. Embark’s highest level of care is their Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), which is also known as the therapeutic day program. This involves 27-30 hours of treatment per week over 5 days, while still allowing patients to live at home. Educational services are also available to allow students to continue their studies and transfer credits back to their school. Their Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a group-focused program that involves attending sessions 3-4 days per week for 3 hours per day. Patients also receive 1-on-1, group, and family counseling services. For those needing less intensive care, Embark offers outpatient 1-on-1 therapy sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, as well as virtual or in-home counseling services for individuals and their families.
