Shahida’s Place is a Riverside County residential treatment center that provides evidence-based programs for individuals coping with addiction. Led by a board-certified physician, the collaborative detox program features personalized attention with one-on-one therapy sessions. Though participation in group programs is offered, it is not necessary during detox. After detox, patients can transition to the inpatient residential phase to receive group therapy and counseling from medical staff, case managers, and therapists. Goals and remaining medical concerns from the detox stage are addressed during daily individual and group sessions. During individual therapy, patients can discuss their relationship with drugs and/or alcohol. Group therapy is run by Shahida’s highly-trained therapists and includes medications such as Naltrexone and Vivitrol. Aftercare options like sober living, outpatient programs, recovery meetings, and mentorship programs ensure continued support for long-term recovery.
