About New Directions for Women

New Directions for Women is an accredited campus that has been offering a gender-specific approach to dual-diagnosis treatment for over 40 years. The 90-day program consists of individual and group therapy, 12-Step meetings, psychodrama, family dysfunction therapy, experiential treatments, and medication, and is tailored to each woman’s needs. In 2013, the capacity was increased with two state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation homes for women and children and pregnant women or women without children. These homes are filled with cozy common spaces and a supervised playroom. Clients can also enjoy lush gardens and a safe, peaceful environment. Over 5,000 women have entered New Direction’s doors since 1977, with 600 children having lived on the campus and 200 babies born to mothers completing the program.
