Center for Discovery in Los Alamitos is a Joint Commission accredited treatment center that specializes in the care of clients aged 10-18 struggling with eating disorders and co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety and depression. They offer evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement therapy (EMDR), exposure & response prevention (ERP), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). In addition, they offer a specialized Path to Peace program to help tackle binge eating disorder (BED). At Center for Discovery, they strive to empower their clients to shift their views on body and weight, while providing them with joy through movement and yoga.
