About Visions Adolescent Treatment

Since 2002, Visions Adolescent Treatment Center has been providing specialized adolescent programs designed to help teens with mental health issues and co-occurring disorders. The founders, Chris and Amanda Shumow, are strong advocates for family involvement in the treatment process. Every case is approached holistically, including psychological and diagnostic testing and evaluations, as well as a variety of evidence-based modalities, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), individual and family therapy, group therapy, and social and emotional development. With Joint Commission accreditation and membership in the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), Visions offers residential properties in multiple locations in Southern California, including Malibu, Thousand Oaks, and Santa Monica, each with its own specialized set of programs. Parents and teens are encouraged to visit and discover what Visions can do for them.
