Newport Academy in Southern California offers recovery and healing for teens and their families, as well as customized treatment plans, on-site academics, and a range of therapeutic activities such as equine therapy, music and art, yoga, and meditation. Founders Jim Monroe and Jamison Monroe Jr. created Newport Academy to help those suffering from addiction and mental health concerns, and their vision has since expanded to locations all across the U.S. Patients begin treatment with an assessment to identify their needs, followed by a personalized care team including counselors, nurses, a psychiatrist, and dietician. Attachment-based family therapy (ABFT) is used to help rebuild family relationships. Newport Academy’s SoCal locations are accredited by The Joint Commission and most private insurance providers cover their services.
