About Miklat Recovery Society

Nestled beside the gorgeous Powell River on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast, Miklat Recovery Society provides residential drug and alcohol therapy specifically for men. With a safe haven from the storms of addiction, Miklat, which means “refuge,” offers an intimate 10-bed home with access to nature and outdoor activities on weekends. Their 90-day primary care program includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, music therapy, 12 Step meetings, SMART Recovery meetings, group therapy, and many other resources to support mind, body, and spirit. Miklat Recovery accepts insurance and does its best to keep non-insured costs to a minimum. The program costs $3,000 monthly and $12,000 for the entire 90-day primary care stay. Further addiction care is available in a separate 8-bedroom home.
