Sunshine Coast Health Centre is a gender-specific residential facility, offering meaningful treatment for mental health and addiction conditions like anxiety, substance and alcohol use disorders, depression, personality disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and trauma. With a non-12-Step focus, they provide clients with the courage and tools to take ownership of their lives and find meaningful purpose. Located on 9 acres with a private oceanfront in British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast, clients enjoy a peaceful and serene setting for healing.
A multidisciplinary team made of 24/7 nurses, therapists, wellness therapists, an addictionologist, and psychiatrists offer a range of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), EMDR, somatic experiencing, and hypnotherapy. Clients who arrive for treatment are immediately assessed by a doctor to determine if detox is necessary.
Clients benefit from 10 hours a week of group therapy and weekly 1:1 sessions with their primary therapist. Adjunct therapies are also available, such as psychoeducation classes, group somatic experiencing, group hypnotherapy, and a writing workshop. On-site amenities include a swimming pool, fitness room and personal trainer, sauna, business center, and internet access. To support long-term recovery success, aftercare and alumni services are offered to help clients find recovery resources and build a supportive recovery community.
