Mountainside Treatment Center

For more than two decades, Mountainside Treatment Center has been providing care to individuals with co-occurring mental health illnesses and substance use disorders. Their goal is to help clients rediscover their true selves and lead healthier, happier lives. Mountainside Treatment offers a full continuum of care, including medical detox, inpatient care, outpatient treatment, adolescent services, sober living, and Telehealth services for more flexibility. Evidence-based and holistic treatment programs such as individual and group counseling, 12-Step facilitation, anger management, acupuncture, adventure therapy, expressive therapy, healthy living workshops, therapeutic art and writing, Qigong, and yoga are used to tailor a program to each individual. Mountainside also works closely with clients’ families and offers supportive services to help them understand addiction and the recovery process. The facility is located in Canaan, Connecticut at the foot of the Berkshire mountain range. The sprawling 80-acre campus bordering 3,000 acres of state preserve is the perfect place for clients to disconnect and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. On-site amenities include a fitness center, meditation room, volleyball court, basketball court, and a chef-prepared nutritious meals. All rooms are designed for tranquility and healing, with natural light and mid-century modern furniture. Nature lovers can take advantage of the many walking trails, streams, waterfalls, and a meditation garden. Mountainside Treatment Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurances.
