Located on a stunning 44-acre wooded campus in Canaan, Connecticut, The Steward House at Silver Hill offers private, individualized psychiatric care to high-achieving executives and professionals who struggle with substance abuse and co-occurring conditions. Developed through a collaboration between Yale New Haven Health’s leading psychiatry institutions and Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry, the Steward House program is based on evidence-based therapies. An expert team of mental health professionals creates a unique treatment plan to rebuild the client’s acquired skills and restore their ability to manage various conflicts, challenges, and outcomes. Services include medication, supportive therapy, individual and group therapy, family counseling, self-help, wellness, and recreational activities, in addition to a range of amenities such as an on-site chef, internet access, business center, and recreation center. All of this, combined with the pool and wellness center nearby the estate, makes The Steward House one of the best psychiatric programs in the Northeast – though the care is private pay only.
