Nextep is an accredited outpatient drug treatment and recovery facility based in Fort Myers, Florida. It offers a six-month supported living program for clients transitioning from early recovery to independent living. Its 12-step philosophy and rules are designed to assist clients in their recovery process, preparing them for their return to a sober lifestyle. The facility offers gender-specific residences in Lee County, located in residential neighborhoods in Fort Myers and Cape Coral. Services include mental health care, practical drug and alcohol recovery, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy sessions, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), kayaking, ropes course, art therapy, equine therapy, and boating. Residents must adhere to a curfew and regular drug tests, as well as weekly household chores and self-sustenance. They must also be employed, actively looking for work, or enrolled in an approved academic or technical school. Nextep is Joint Commission accredited and accepts insurance.
