Honey Lake Clinic

Honey Lake Clinic offers comprehensive, Bible-based, psychological care for those struggling with mental health issues such as depression, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Located on a 2200-acre lakeside resort, they offer a residential mental health program with a Christ-centered therapeutic environment, community, curriculum, and structure. Upon arrival, each client is assigned a psychiatrist specialist, licensed therapist, and nursing staff, and undergoes a comprehensive behavioral health bio-psycho-social-spiritual assessment. The clinic also provides evidence-based services, such as brain-mapping, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). All their treatment programs, sessions, and groups incorporate evidence-based and Christ-centered Biblical principles. In addition, Honey Lake also offers specialized programming for veterans and adolescent girls, which includes traditional therapies and holistic therapies such as equine-assisted therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and proper nutrition. To maximize relaxation and aid in the healing process, their resort-like setting provides an outdoor pool, spa, fitness center, horse stables, and a lake. Founder Dr. Karl Benzio, a Christian psychiatrist, has successfully integrated his faith-informed decision-making curriculum into many addiction facilities to improve their psychological and medical treatments.
