Turning Tides provides specialized care for adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders at its facility located on the Atlantic coast in northeastern Florida. The center offers partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs, as well as equine therapy in partnership with Round Pen Ranch. Through the equine therapy program, clients have an opportunity to develop compassionate care and obtain tools to help themselves while also helping the miniature horses bred down from standard horses.
The adolescent PHP program runs Monday–Friday from 1pm–7pm. It includes individual, group, and family therapy, as well as weekly psychiatric visits, physical assessments, and lab draws. It also provides custom nutrition plans from dietitians, and meal support and process groups are part of the therapy.
The adult PHP and IOP programs have similar components as the adolescent program. Adult PHP includes individual, group, and family therapy, as well as weekly visits with psychiatrists, physical assessments, and lab draws. Custom nutritional plans from a dietitian are also offered, in addition to meal support and process groups. For IOP, bi-weekly individual therapy, dietary consults, nursing visits, lab draws, and medical visits are available. Group therapy sessions are conducted 3 days a week.
