Southern Live Oak Wellness

Located just outside Atlanta, Southern Live Oak Wellness provides comprehensive mental health treatment for those suffering from anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, trauma, substance abuse, and more. At Southern Live Oak, their 6000-square-foot building provides clients with the privacy and security needed for recovery, with an 8-bed, intimate setting. Clients often stay at the on-site provided apartments which are comfortable and up-scale, sharing a room with one roommate. The average length of stay for their program is 4 to 6 weeks, which may be followed by a Day Treatment (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). While in residential care, clients participate in a variety of evidence-based and holistic therapies such as traditional talk therapy, Eye Movement Therapy (EMDR), medical stabilization, animal-assisted therapy, music therapy, Reiki, and other unique therapies like red light therapy, Spravato, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Alpha Stim. During their stay, clients are also provided with additional services like cooking classes, fitness training, and job skills. To further aid in the recovery process, Southern Live Oak offers a therapeutic living component which focuses on helping clients adopt critical life skills. Furthermore, those who are in the outpatient level of care are given the opportunity to stay at Southern Live Oak’s therapeutic home, where they can take advantage of amenities such as an on-site pool, fitness center, outdoor lounge, and a movie theater. Southern Live Oak Wellness’s team of experienced professionals provides clients with personalized treatment plans and high-quality programs, giving them the freedom and treatment needed for long-term recovery.
