About The ‘Ohana

The ‘Ohana offers comprehensive and client-focused treatment for substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions. Their 5-acre property consists of 3 homes—one for detox, one for residential stays, and one for sober living—and a 2:1 patient-to-staff ratio. Evidence-based therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, equine therapy, and 12-Step meetings, along with other peer support groups like SMART recovery. The ‘Ohana’s residential care is tailored to the length of stay the client needs, with stays ranging from 30-120 days. They offer day treatment, intensive outpatient program (IOP), and sober living services. Adventure therapy, cultural therapies, and spiritual connection are used to help clients regain self-efficacy and joy. The 12-week adventure program takes clients to volcanos, beaches, parks, and swimming in the ocean with sea life. The ‘Imi Ke Ola Mau program provides Indigenous Hawaiian traditions and practices for spiritual healing. After treatment, The ‘Ohana maintains connection with alumni to offer local treatment and support once clients return home.
