Habilitat Hawaii

Founded in 1971, Habilitat has set the standard for long-term addiction treatment for over 50 years. Offering an alternative to the 12-Step program, they utilize a non-psychiatric approach to recovery. Clients progress through three distinct phases of treatment. The first phase focuses on building foundations of self-esteem, self-worth, and self-discipline. During phase two, they gain employment skills through vocational programs provided within the facility. Lastly, phase three is where clients gradually regain their independence while still under the care of the facility. Additionally, Habilitat emphasizes fitness and nutrition that compliment the tranquil views of the Ko`olau mountain range. Clients can take advantage of the pier, barbershop, library, game room, and oceanfront gardens. With a successful program based on hard work and fun, Habilitat has established one of the highest recovery rates in the United States.
