2nd Chance, founded by three physicians in 2012, is a central Kentucky clinic that offers outpatient treatment for those suffering from addiction. The program includes individual and group counseling, medical visits with a physician, and case management. Additionally, 2nd Chance offers Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), a treatment modality that uses medication to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings associated with substance abuse. Individual counseling, group meetings, and case management are all incorporated into the treatment program at 2nd Chance in order to increase the likelihood of long-term sobriety. During group meetings, topics such as relapse prevention, chemical dependency, parenting, domestic violence, anger management, and more are discussed. In addition, 2nd Chance’s case managers connect patients with local resources that can help to ensure their journey to recovery is successful.
