Monte Nido East Bay is a luxurious treatment home that provides care for adults struggling with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions such as PTSD, substance use, and disordered thinking. Their evidence-based and mindfulness practices include cognitive processing therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, interpersonal therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Clients also participate in wellness activities such as yoga, weight training, nature walks, dance and movement classes, and mind/body experiences. The center is Joint Commission accredited and accepts both public and private insurances. Monte Nido East Bay is a safe, therapeutic home-like environment, designed to help clients restore nutritional and physiological balance, foster positive body image, and heal from trauma. The home boasts luxurious and bohemian spaces, a spacious lounge and therapeutic area, a front porch, a renovated kitchen, shared bedrooms, and a yoga studio, and can accommodate up to 10 clients at a time with a high staff-to-client ratio, and psychiatric and nursing staff. Clients can take part in recreational outings such as visits to an art studio, beach days, trips to a museum, miniature golf, and special events like dance performances, concerts, and plays.
