NAMS, a Singapore-based organization, offers a comprehensive addiction management service, providing 2-week medical detox programs, individual counseling for teenagers with behavioral problems, support groups for adults struggling with gambling, and a specialized Family Program for those living with an addict. Their inpatient program consists of two phases – detox and discharge planning. The multidisciplinary, expert team that provides these services includes psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, counselors, medical social workers, and occupational therapists. Additionally, NAMS’ ReLive clinic addresses adolescents ages 13-18 who are struggling with behavioral issues, excessive gaming, and internet addiction. Treatment consists of individual counseling, daily therapy, and group therapy. The Family Program, Family Matters, provides family members with individual counseling to help them cope with the stress and helplessness of living with an addict. A dedicated specialist will guide and support the family throughout the whole process.
