Nestled on a rural farm with nearly 400 acres of picturesque land, Ironwood is an independent residential treatment center and private school for young adults, ages 13 to 18, battling addiction and mental health issues. Clients will experience four levels of structure, beginning with Levels 1 and 2 that enforce respect for oneself and others. The Farm House (Levels 3 and 4) places more emphasis on fostering the internal character traits of honesty, integrity, and motivational values. Throughout the program, routines are implemented to encourage independence and accountability, all in line with Ironwood’s mission. A variety of activities, including equestrian lessons, art, music, cooking lessons, team-building exercises, and more, are available in the afternoons. Family involvement is integral to Ironwood’s approach, and the healing process is supported through family counseling and opportunities for family stays and visits. With its compassionate staff, comfortable accommodations, and farm animals, Ironwood serves as a sanctuary for young adults to learn and heal. The school is also fully accredited, making it a solid choice when seeking long-term residential care.
