The McLean Klarman Eating Disorders Center is a Harvard Medical School-affiliated institution that offers comprehensive treatment plans to help young women ages 16 to 26 recover from eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. Patients typically stay for 4 to 6 weeks and receive Evidence-based treatment, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy. The center provides 24-hour assistance and monitors food intake, vitals, and bathrooms. In addition to these medically-useful tactics, yoga, art therapy, cooking classes, and self-esteem and body image development lessons are included in the comprehensive treatment plans for their patients. McLean Klarman is accredited and takes every measure to ensure its patients thrive both during and after their stay.
