Advanced Health and Education (AHE) provides multiple levels of outpatient substance use treatment, along with a primary mental health outpatient program and a dedicated support group for LGBTQ+ individuals. They also offer an alumni program. AHE’s programs use traditional and complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and chiropractic care.
The Partial Care program provides 5 hours of treatment a day, 6 days a week, over 45 days. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) is 3 days a week, 3 hours a day, and up to 16 weeks. Outpatient therapy involves up to 2 sessions a week, each 2-hour-long. All programs are holistic and address topics like family matters, healthcare, parenting, employment, and legal issues.
The primary mental health program meets 6 days a week, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants learn communication, anger management, stress management, understanding emotions, and more. Alternative health and wellness practices, such as acupuncture, yoga, meditation, and aromatherapy, are also offered.
The Perspectives group provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals to share common experiences and work through common challenges with the group leader.
All former clients are welcome to join the alumni community. Alumni programs offer monthly meetings and events, as well as around-the-clock support.
