At Kenneth Peters Outpatient Center, individuals can access high-quality, effective treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. The center’s signature 3-phase approach has been their method of treatment since 1995. The first phase is an intensive outpatient model (IOP) that requires patient attend 3-hour sessions, 3-5 times per week. During this phase, clients learn about their addiction, get a sponsor, and develop healthy coping strategies. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) may be prescribed to prevent relapse and cravings. The second phase of treatment is a step-down from the first, and consists of 1.5-hour sessions 2-3 times a week. Here, patients learn to handle ongoing issues related to sobriety and can participate in speciality groups based on age and gender. The third and final phase is a transition period, where individuals set goals and reflect on their progress. Kenneth Peters Outpatient Center also provides continuing care to help clients maintain sobriety, including specialized programs for first responders and gender-specific alumni groups. All services are deeply rooted in 12-step principles to promote individual, family, and community healing.
