Tucked away near the Lehigh River and the beautiful Pocono Mountains, Embark is a short-term residential care center for young teenage girls living with mental health issues. The center provides a safe, therapeutic, and compassionate atmosphere to help families and their daughters overcome behavioral health difficulties. Embark tailors their treatment plans to meet the specific needs of each individual client and family. Their program caters to conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, suicidality, PTSD, and more. At Embark, clients can stay from one to three months and engage in activities like art therapy projects, local excursions, yoga, horseback riding, and adventure activities. Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapy, experiential, and family therapy are some of the approaches used here. The 77-acre center is located in the Pocono Mountains and offers a tranquil, peaceful, and restorative setting. Embark is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts private and public insurance.
