Fairhaven Treatment Center is a residential and outpatient facility that is fully devoted to helping adolescents, teens, and adult women suffering from eating disorders as well as the underlying causes such as PTSD, trauma, and attachment disorder. Their outpatient program caters to adolescents while the residential treatment program is specifically for adult women.
Fairhaven’s primary mission is to help clients understand that they have the power to create positive relationships with themselves and with other people. Women who participate in the program learn to develop a healthy relationship with food and acquire the skills to address co-occurring mental health issues, such as OCD and trauma. The daily routine consists of evidence-based therapy, as well as experiential, animal, art, and group therapy, in addition to family counseling.
The residential facility is situated just outside of Memphis, Tennessee and offers a warm, home-like setting with shared rooms and comfortable common areas.
