With a 51,420 square foot facility situated on 13-acres in South Austin, Texas, Austin Oaks Hospital offers a full continuum of psychiatric services, substance abuse treatment, detox services, and a specialized inpatient program just for women. Each room in the hospital comes with two beds, a desk, and a private bathroom, and there are many communal spaces such as lounge rooms equipped with comfortable furniture, TV’s, and movies. Austin Oaks Hospital uses a therapeutic model when treating addiction and co-occurring conditions using a variety of therapies including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), group therapy, family counseling, psychoeducation, anger management, art therapy, music therapy, yoga, recreational therapy, physical fitness programs, and nutrition counseling.
