For more than a decade, Paradigm Treatment has been treating teens ages 12-17 in a residential setting for a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and mood/personality disorders. Their experienced medical and clinical teams go beyond the surface symptoms and work closely with the youths and their families to develop effective strategies. Academic coordinators ensure the teens’ academic progression, and experiential approaches such as yoga, meditation, and equine therapy empower their clients to reshape their lives. Paradigm is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most commercial insurance plans.
Located in the beautiful Austin, Texas Hill Country, the resort-style Paradigm Treatment facility is small and intimate, focusing on the individual needs of the 12 clients in treatment at a time. A thorough assessment process helps staff to address the root causes of the teens’ issues. Paradigm’s dedicated clinicians use caring, compassionate, and professional methods to help teens through their mental health struggles.
The 30-90-day program offers four individual therapy sessions per week, in addition to regular group and family sessions. To balance clinical with experiential treatments, teens have access to a wide range of on and off-site activities. During the school year, Paradigm provides three hours of school, five days a week, in collaboration with the teens’ home schools.
Surrounded by the stunning Texas Hill Country, Paradigm Austin offers plenty of outdoor activities such as camping by the Guadalupe River and trips to Garner State Park, as well as local attractions that make great day trips for parents. Paradigm’s mission is to help teens and their families recover and move forward, creating lasting changes.
