Center for Discovery Cypress is a residential treatment center for adolescents of all genders that specializes in helping those struggling with eating disorders. It utilizes evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to healing. The center has a certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) on staff and offers a Path to Peace program for binge eaters. Additionally, it provides a range of treatments for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, Orthorexia Nervosa, and co-occurring mental health disorders. It is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most major insurances.
The location is luxurious and home-like, providing top of the line accommodations for up to 8 clients. It follows an individualized dietary program that consists of menu planning and meal preparation, restaurant challenges, grocery list and clothing shopping, exposure and response prevention, hands-on kitchen skills, and nutrition education. Other amenities include an arts and crafts room, pool, and group session rooms.
