At Center for Discovery Houston, their team of experts offer comprehensive treatment for eating disorders, including binge eating, through their Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Their evidence-based approach includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and art therapy. Family counseling provides additional support, with the goal of increasing family members’ understanding of eating disorder triggers and providing skills to help in the recovery process. Additionally, the unique Path to Peace program features a connection-focused approach to help those challenged by chronic dieting and binging. This program centers on principles of representation and belonging, inclusivity, shame resilience, being trauma-informed, and weight-neutral care.
