First Step to Recovery

At First Step to Recovery (FSTR), they provide an extensive understanding of various mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental disorders that often accompany addiction and substance use disorders in adults. FSTR follows a holistic approach, using both 12-Steps and advanced therapies to reach the whole patient rather than just the addiction itself. Each individual’s needs are taken into account when creating personalized treatment plans.

FSTR also offers a telemedicine intensive outpatient program (IOP) for addiction recovery. This program is committed to following all the guidelines set by the Center for Disease Control, the State of Texas, and other health and safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is flexible, allowing clients to plan their sessions at their own convenience and in private. Telemedicine removes the common roadblocks to successful recovery, such as transportation problems, travel limitations, and inconsistent scheduling. The online program makes sure clients remain connected to adequate care and support through a steady staff-patient relationship.
