About Strong Hope

Strong Hope is an evidence-based mental health and substance abuse program located in Salt Lake City, Utah that specializes in providing treatment for PTSD and other areas of combat trauma, military sexual trauma, and childhood trauma. Their gender-specific programming includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic therapy, family counseling, life skills, and more. A typical day at Strong Hope includes 3-4 trauma and skills groups, 2 expressive/recreational therapy groups, weekly visits to the National Ability Center, and weekly attendance at community-based AA meetings. Clients can also participate in yoga 5 times a week, 1-on-1 therapy twice a week, on-site physical therapy, a fully-equipped gym, and outdoor adventure outings such as horseback riding, kayaking, and rock climbing, all while enjoying the stunning Rocky mountains as a backdrop.
