The Barry Robinson Center

The Barry Robinson Center is a premier provider of mental health care for boys and girls aged 6-17. The Center is dedicated to helping children and teens who are struggling with mental health issues and substance abuse disorders. With an experienced team of licensed therapists and other professionals, they offer a range of specialized treatments such as individual therapy, group therapy, medication management, family counseling, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and recreation therapy. Additionally, the Center provides a unique treatment foster care program, as well as ABA services.

The Center is located in Norfolk, Virginia, and is a supportive and understanding environment for children and teens with a military connection, as many of the staff members are former military personnel. Their residential treatment program is typically 4-6 months in duration, during which residents stay in dorm-style bedrooms and engaging common areas. The 32-acre campus is a safe haven for youths and their families to heal, with plenty of activities like painting, singing, and horse grooming to help them develop coping skills.
