SouthStone Behavioral Health is South Boston’s premier trauma and attachment-focused treatment program for adolescents. The program provides comprehensive residential care for 11-17 year-olds in a secure setting monitored 24/7. The 220-acre campus consists of gender-specific dormitories with residential supervisors to ensure safety and structure. The residential program incorporates treatments such as medication management services, group and individual therapies, art therapy, and activities like yoga and zumba to promote positive behaviors and healthy socialization. The onsite school provides a unique opportunity for students to receive speech-language screening, physical therapy, and occupational therapy evaluations and services from specialized staff. Adolescents can also transfer credits back to their home school after the program. SouthStone Behavioral Health understands the importance of family involvement and offers ways to involve family members in the healing process.
