The Center for Discovery Milwaukee is a residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment center that specializes in treating all types of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake, and orthorexia nervosa. They also offer treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, self-harm, and trauma. The individualized treatment plans utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and exposure & response prevention (ERP). Their dietary programs focus on 4 key concepts: health at every size (HAES), intuitive eating, All Foods Fit, and exposure and response prevention (ERP). Located in Milwaukee’s city center, the Center for Discovery is a 48-bed facility with cozy treatment rooms, café seating for meals, and a full-size kitchen. It is Joint Commission accredited and accepts most major insurance companies.
