Adult and Teen Challenge Great Lakes is a Christian Discipleship program designed to help women with drug and alcohol addictions recover. It is a nonprofit organization that provides a 1-year commitment, delivering spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. The program consists of 4 levels of care, with each level lasting 14, 12, 12, and 12 weeks respectively. During the Recovery Level, classes focus on recognizing and changing destructive behavior, while the Renewal Level helps to heal the root of addiction. At the Restoration and Healing Levels, participants develop a purpose in life and prepare for a substance-free future. Finally, during the Transition Level, residents gain practical skills such as employment and housing management, and learn how to become community leaders.
