Newport Academy’s Waukesha outpatient center provides evidence-based and integrated treatment for teens aged 12-18 with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and social challenges. Their program not only offers individual, group, and family therapy, but also connects parents with local support groups and provides academic support with tutors. Experiential therapies, outdoor activities, and mindfulness practices such as yoga, are available too, as well as art and music studios. Working in collaboration with teens’ existing support systems, Newport Academy focusses on healing the whole family via attachment-based family therapy, education on addiction and mental health, and personalized assessments to avoid triggers. Teens can enjoy a comfortable atmosphere with privacy and respect, allowing them to benefit from the restorative ability of adventure and outdoor fun.
