Oxford Treatment Center, located on over 100 acres in a beautiful national forest in Mississippi, is part of the American Addiction Centers. Utilizing a complete continuum of care, Oxford treats co-occurring mental health disorders and addiction for men and women. Their inpatient care, Day Treatment (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient therapy options provide an array of treatments, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and medication assisted treatment (MAT). They also offer holistic and alternative therapies like art and music therapy, yoga, meditation, and mindfulness- all of which take advantage of their 100 acre property, with equine therapy, a ropes course, labyrinth, and lake activities. They offer specialized programming for veterans and first responders, trauma, and LGBTQ+ clients, and secular SMART recovery for those who don’t resonate with the 12-step approach. Oxford also overlooks a private lake, offering clients the opportunity to fish and swim, and their cabins house men and women separately, allowing for a more comfortable and focused stay. Plus, they have an on-site medical detox unit with 24-hour nursing staff to keep clients safe and comfortable, using prescribed medications as needed to ease detox and treatment. After residential treatment, clients have the option to remain at Oxford Treatment Center in their sober living homes. And, according Oxford Treatment Center’s former client, they “offer a safe and loving place to begin the journey of recovery.” Oxford is accredited by the Joint Commission and CARF, and accepts most major insurances.
